Zatloukalová, Denisa ; Zemánek, Václav (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
There is a large number of localities in Prague that have lost their industrial glory or transport signifi cance. Today, these areas remain unused and turn into neglected scars on the city´s face. 1466 hectares of such territories exist now in Prague. Their transformation and limitation of the city´s expansion is one of the main goals of the new Prague´s Metropolitan Plan. And the solution to the transformation of the former ČKD is the subject of this thesis. Conditions for the revitalization of the territory of the former ČKD are embedded in the zoning plan for the Prague´s district Vysočany, in the new Metropolitan Plan and the new development projects in surrounding play its role too. The aim of the chapter is to evaluate the existing land situation, its use with respect to the new Metropolitan Plan and conceptual renewal of the postindustrial territory of Vysočany district. The thesis presents a possible example of the creation of a new urban district, which offers housing, modern offices, sports and all amenities. Modern architecture of high-rise buildings is complemented by quality solutions of public spaces, green streets and parks.
The object of metropolitan significance on the street Benesova Brno
Uřídilová, Valentýna ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The concept follows and respects the continuation of city parks on so called Okruzni boulevard where new green vegetation was created after the destruction of ramparts. The polyfunctional building is located on Benesova street and complements the built-up area as a city creating element. The building was solved as a compact mass of which shape, size and roundness reflects other buildings around. The goal of the design is to connect together Koliste and Benesova street and the city park. The building creates business parterre which makes it possible to reach the Koliste street directly from Benesova street through the building. With the help of parterre and generous staircase we can solve the problematic wall barriere and join together whole area. The character and the scale of building is a modern transcription of historical palaces.

Čech, Daniel ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to renew and rebuild the building of the former Supreme state prosecutor to the place for The Stage design of Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and The Rectorate od Janáček Academy. The building is located on the corner of the busy streets Jánská, Kobližná and Pohořelec where it forms a rather drab end point of these streets. The object was built in the post World war II period and carries features of late functionalism. The building has been abandoned since 90s. The ground floor was used for commerce, the underground floor for technical equipment of the building and other upper floors were purely administrative. The building has one underground floor and seven above-ground floors. In the ground floor were designed a public café and exhibition spaces. On the second to the fourth floor there are administrative places for the Janáček Academy Rectorate. On the fifth to the seventh floor the are spaces for students of the Stage design. In the new eight floor there is a background for the Light design. The main focus of the work was to restore life and create a functional and aestetically friendly environment. This was achieved by changing the internal layout where some dividing structures were removed, including the vertical connections of the floors and finally the use of glass partitions. The layout is now more open, lighter and airy. A main element of the reconstruction is the extension of the next floor, which has increased the space for students and employees and confirmed the unclear verticality of the building. The entire extension has more dominant look, but with natural respect to the surrounding buildings. The superstructure fasade consists of pre-installed electroluminescent panels with a holographic foil. This foil produces rainbow effects on the facade and reflects light, relieving the mass. At night, thanks to electroluminescent wires, the extension shines and highlights the happenings inside th
HOUSE ON THE EDGE – Valašské Meziříčí, Sokolská Street
Štancl, Michal ; Němec, Josef (referee) ; Ruller, Ivan (advisor)
The concept is a combination of two different dimensional masses placed in a given area. The main building consists of a simple form of block IV. floors, the height and direction honor houses line the eastern part of the street Polášková and indirectly linked to it. Starting Cimala commercial center. In the opposite part of the main mass is only partial continuity created one deck above. An important factor in creating living spaces was sufficient offset from the main road, partially shielded by noise at the second follow-up buildings. The dominant mass is connected to a smaller two-storey L-shaped object, which combined elements of both maintaining the existing road corridor between the buildings housing and the historic town center. This is achieved by interruption of the dominant buildings in the middle on the first floor with the open-through-passage of the passage connecting the two parcels and create a public space between objects. The passage therefore preserves the widely used linear path from the street Pospíšilová Square. United objects are separated from the eastern part of the shopping center space Cimala in order to maintain the supply side of the aforementioned object.
Multifunktional Building Brno
Roleček, Jakub ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor’s thesis is a multifunctional building in the vacant site of Milady Horákové Street in the city of Brno-Zábrdovice. From the street view on the right it adjoins a secession four-storey block of flats by Josef Müller and on the left a contemporary seven-storey multi-purpose building designed by Dalibor Borák. Deliberately disharmonious proposal originates as a time-dependent impact of the two neighboring houses to align a significantly different character of their masses from both incoming angles. It forms a crystalline aggregate of basalt microscopic structures transferred to macroscopic nature of the building structure. The Semi-public space at the level of the ground floor connects the busy street with a quiet courtyard where there is a playground, vegetated cascade with a concrete stage and a café sitting. The podium "public socket" thus serves as an auditorium for various informal performances. In addition the house offers commercial, office and exclusive residential spaces, which are located on the top floors.

Architectural expression is trying to be more temperate. Grey sklocementový lining is designed to calm space and not create a new landmark. Green loggia with wooden pergolas and smaller předstoupenou bracket so that the material breaks at the site given rise to very large scale. Ground floor fully glazed facade with rounded corners symbolizes the openness of the building. Attracted to the atrium and use of multi-functional object, or just as a passageway to other parts of the city. The idea is to make the building a focal point for visitors. So that the car parked in the garage and went to town on foot. The building offers them several rentable space. Likewise, the administrative office building is located, which are mass separated from the rest of the glass facade of the building, which is in its matter counterpart to the adjacent shopping center. For it is maintained with the passage of shop windows and supply gate. Parking is available away from the street and the proposal allows for completely closing the square for cars. The second and third floor above ground floors are completely separated from the first, and towards the street and předstoupena. This creates a classic urban element, arbor. Vista Pospisilova streets between King and the covered terrace, which is used as a garden cafe, or a portion of leasable area. On it are placed concrete pots with a tree. The whole passage is still cover with wooden beams. Which completes the impression of the city gate. Terrace is located above the shops and where the green roof and access to the flats. The apartments are designed urban type.

The complex offers a wide range of sports facilities for recreation, as well as facilities with multifunctional use, whether for sports or for all kinds of events organized by the city. The centre of the complex and the main multifunctional sports ground is the torso of the football stadium Za Lužánkami, which continues to refer to the sporting achievements of the city with its genius loci. The aim of the thesis is to design a sports hall with a number of associated facilities in order to create a building providing a range of sports activities and complementing the outdoor area with sports facilities for recreation and leisure. The sports hall is designed on the site of a former hockey stadium. It thus supplements the buildings (swimming pool and hotel Boby) around the road Sportovní not only with facilities with a sports function, but also with accommodation, restaurant, café and commerce.
